Beneath the shadow of the hunchback prehistoric blue-grey heron and dancing acrobatic swallows, shy deer accompanied us on our way home. His strength, agility, grace and beauty made him the perfect companion. We jumped logs and ditches as we reached for the sky. An ancient cobbled packhorse bridge led us to the different sides of the same place; covered in soft sumptuous iridescent moss it gently befriended its travellers.
